Lydia Östberg Diakité b. 1994  Swedish-Ivorian based in Copenhagen. 

My work explores themes of identity, heritage, memory, pop culture, and historical references all expressed through performative gestures. I aim to create art that invites audiences into fictional and emotional landscapes. Through a combination of humor and seriousness I wish to convey different dynamics of power structures, unfolding across various media; performance, choreography, installation-scenography, sculpture, video and sound.
